We worked with Tonico Health & Performance, located at 198-200 Kensington High Street, London, to deliver a secure and modern speed gates solution for their brand-new health and fitness gym. As a premium gym environment, the client required a reliable gym entrance system that provided seamless access for members while maintaining a professional and high-end finish.
What Challenge Did Tonico Health & Performance Face?
As this was a newly built gym, there was no existing entrance control system in place. Following market research, the client identified the need for a fully automated solution that would allow staff to remain uninterrupted while members gained access independently via QR readers.
The system needed to integrate directly with their QR-based gym access control system, provide smooth and secure entry, and allow wider access for deliveries and wheelchair users. It was essential that the final installation complemented the gym’s branding while delivering reliable gym security from day one.v

Our objective was to deliver a fully integrated speed gate access control solution that worked seamlessly with the client’s QR readers. The system needed to function as part of their wider gym access control infrastructure, ensuring members could enter quickly without queues or staff intervention.
We aimed to install a high-performance speed gate turnstile that provided secure, efficient access while maintaining the aesthetics expected in a premium fitness facility. The solution also had to allow for wider access when required, supporting inclusive design and operational flexibility.
Project Breakdown
We carried out the speed gate installation of a single UKT-29 speed gate on a bespoke floorplate, fully integrated with the gym’s QR-based access control system.
