This model can be used externally under cover as it has an IP rating of IPX4. It has an active passage width of 550mm making this product suitable for a wide range of environments where single or multiple lane access is required.

The unit has an emergency release mechanism that allows the rotas to drop away for unrestricted access; this can also be linked to a fire alarm system.

A UKT-10 tripod turnstile is the usual choice where you need controlled, single-file entry without the bulk of a full height unit. The stainless steel housing and polished rotor arms suit a reception or gym entrance where the finish matters, and the concealed floor mounting keeps the installation tidy with no visible fixings around the base.

The unit offers nine passing modes, so the same UKT-10 tripod turnstile can be set to require verification in both directions, free-wheel in one direction and control the other, lock out completely, or be left on free passage outside opening hours. Red and green LED panels and adjustable audible prompts tell the user clearly whether the arm has been released.

Because the arms drop on power failure, a UKT-10 tripod turnstile can be included in your escape route: on a fire alarm signal the lane fails safe and people can push straight through. An emergency release is also fitted so staff can clear the lane manually.

Credentials are up to you. A UKT-10 tripod turnstile can be fitted with proximity card and fob readers, QR code scanners, PIN keypads, biometric readers or mobile credentials, all managed through your access control system or gym membership software so that entry is only granted to valid members and staff.

For accessibility, the tripod lane is normally paired with a wider swing gate, which supports the duty to make reasonable adjustments set out in the Equality Act 2010.
