Before our involvement, John F Hunt Group needed a more effective way to control and monitor site access. With no consistent turnstile entrance options across their numerous locations, it was difficult to manage contractor time and attendance and ensure only authorised individuals were entering each site. They required a robust site entrance turnstile solution that could operate across multiple locations while providing clear visibility and control for site managers.
What Were UK Turnstiles’ Goals for This Project?
Our goal was to deliver durable entrance turnstiles and gates suitable for construction environments, allowing John F Hunt Group to manage access across multiple sites from a single platform. The new entrances needed to support biometric technology, including face recognition entrance turnstile systems, to improve security and speed of entry. We also wanted to ensure the system could be quickly deployed, redeployed, and managed remotely, making it ideal for evolving construction projects.
Project Breakdown
We installed UKT-40 full-height turnstiles across several of the sites, providing a consistent and secure employee entrance turnstile solution for both contractors and permanent operatives. Each system was integrated with Cloud Pass access control and Suprema facial recognition readers, delivering a reliable and scalable setup. These entrance turnstiles allow John F Hunt Group to centrally manage permissions while ensuring smooth, automated access at every site and maintaining the high security standards required on busy construction locations.
Timeline
The installations took place across multiple dates, as each site required access control at different stages of development. Despite this, we were able to deploy and commission each entrance turnstile system within one week of orders being placed, ensuring minimal delay and consistent security across all locations.
