Who Are ID Logistics?
We worked with ID Logistics, operating on behalf of Anchor Sound & Security, at Panattoni Park in Sittingbourne, Kent, to deliver a robust perimeter security solution using full height turnstiles, security fencing, and secure access control infrastructure.
As an international contracted logistics company, ID Logistics manages high volumes of products and operational activity on site. With valuable stock and multiple operational areas requiring controlled access, it was essential that the site had a reliable and secure entry system in place.
What Challenge Did ID Logistics Face?
Prior to our involvement, key entrances across the site were unsecured, meaning individuals could potentially gain access to sensitive operational areas where substantial amounts of products were stored.
The client required a secure and durable solution that would improve overall perimeter security while ensuring that only authorised personnel could enter specific areas of the site.
A further challenge was the tight turnaround time. A previous supplier had unfortunately let the client down, leaving very limited time to complete the installation before the site became operational.
Thanks to the fact that we hold our full height turnstiles in stock within our own warehouse, we were able to respond quickly and deliver the project within the required timeframe.
What Were UK Turnstiles’ Goals for This Project?
Our goal was to design and install a complete perimeter security fencing and access control solution that secured both external and internal operational areas across the site.
Externally, the system needed to prevent unauthorised access while maintaining a professional and tidy finish throughout the installation area. Internally, we were tasked with creating an additional secure compound using mesh fencing to further strengthen site security and control movement throughout the facility.
It was important that the solution combined robust full height turnstile gate systems with high-quality security fencing, ensuring long-term reliability in a busy logistics environment.
Project Breakdown
We completed the installation of two UKT-42 Twin Full Height Turnstiles, creating secure and controlled entry points for authorised personnel.
To strengthen overall perimeter security, we also installed external dig-in mesh fencing around the site perimeter, alongside internal bolt-down mesh fencing to create a secure compound within the warehouse environment.
As part of the installation, we supplied and installed heavy-duty pedestrian gates, ensuring safe and controlled access for staff where required.
One of the more technically demanding elements of the project involved the installation of external fencing into an existing block paved surface. Rather than leaving exposed concrete around the fencing posts, our team carefully reinstated the block paving following installation to ensure a clean, professional, and visually tidy finish across the site.
Despite the short lead time, our experienced installation team completed all works efficiently while maintaining high standards throughout.
