They required a professional entrance control system that could manage access efficiently while maintaining operational flow.
What Challenge Did Johnsons Aggregates Face?
Before our involvement, there was no controlled entrance on site. Staff, visitors, and contractors could freely enter the facility, making it difficult to monitor who was on site at any given time. With a compact site layout and high footfall, it was essential to install a system that provided secure access while integrating seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.

Our goal was to deliver a secure, reliable speed gate system that fit within the restricted space on site while handling high staff footfall efficiently. We aimed to install a system that would streamline entry, integrate fully with the client’s existing access infrastructure, and provide a modern access control solution tailored to the site’s operational requirements. Additionally, the installation needed to be robust, user-friendly, and fully compliant with health and safety standards.
Project Breakdown
We installed a single-lane UKT-26 speed gate turnstile, complete with a bespoke floorplate and infill system to ensure no alterations were needed to the existing flooring. The system was integrated with the site’s existing entrance control for seamless monitoring of staff and visitors, and the Perspex wings were customised with the client’s logo to reflect their branding. This setup provides a secure and efficient access control speed gates system, allowing the site to manage access without the need for manual supervision.
The project was delivered as a supply-only service, with careful planning to allow our speed gate installer to complete the installation with minimal disruption. By using the bespoke floorplate, we ensured full functionality and accessibility while maintaining the integrity of the existing site layout.
