What Challenge Did Petroc College Face?
Petroc College needed a way to accurately monitor and report on who was using a specific area of the campus. This reporting capability was essential for Petroc to have a better understanding of who using specific areas.

What Were UK Turnstiles’ Goals for This Project?
Our objective was to deliver a fully integrated speed gate access control solution that connected directly with the college’s Paxton system. The installation needed to provide secure access, accurate reporting functionality, and form part of a scalable college access control system.
We aimed to install high-performance security speed gates that provided smooth throughput while supporting DDA access requirements. It was paramount that the installation was compliant, efficient and fit the aesthetic of the campus environment. Project Breakdown
We completed the speed gate installation of twin UKT-29 speed gate turnstile units, mounted on a bespoke floorplate to protect the existing flooring and ensure a clean finish.
Out-of-hours working was required (10 pm to 5 am) to ensure minimal disruption to site operations. This installation provided a secure swing access gate solution that fully integrates with the existing infrastructure.
Timeline
The installation was completed on 30th October 2025, delivered efficiently and without disruption to the campus.
